Greetings from our President
Our corporation began with the founding the of Special Care Nursing Home Rakuseien in Setoda-cho, Onomichi in 1999 based on the ideals of our former President Nobuo Ihara, who envisioned creating a community that values life for all generations by respecting the life experiences of the elderly and passing on community tradition and culture from older generations to youth generations.
Embracing and carrying on that ideal, I personally strive to create public spaces existing between corporate-managed facilities and the communities that can be enjoyed by all. By promoting continuous and purposeful interactions and exchange activities, I hope to develop people and communities by providing welfare services, and promoting mutual support and interaction. This is my ideal of a community-based corporation.
At our facilities, we strive to connect people and provide spaces for encounters and cooperation between communities and not only care professionals, but everyone involved in our corporations. I am dedicated to constantly working towards resolving community issues.
Lastly, I want to say that we will respond to the various needs of our communities and walk together with the community as a social welfare business rooted in the community by providing operational transparency, ensuring compliance, and working to create comfortable work environments for our employees. We will continue to improve our services and exist as a corporation that is trusted by society.

Greetings from our Facility Deputy Director
This facility, located on Ikuchijima Island and wrapped in scent of lemons, will soon be celebrating its 20th anniversary. Over that time, we have been a central facility for the region that has been blessed with the warm support of facility users, families, local residents, governments and volunteers.
Since our establishment, we have been striving to improve the quality of daily care, and we have been working on improving our quality of service daily while engaged in on-site practices such as dementia care, end-of-life care, and responding to medical needs.
In the course of nearly 20 years, the conditions for the elderly in the region, such as a declining birthrate and aging population, and the development of a nuclear family, has changed drastically. Rakuseien is a special care nursing home that strives to enable the elderly who unavoidably have to change their living environments to live enriched and secure lives.
We will continue striving to improve the quality of our services and make further efforts to meet the expectations of local residents as a special care nursing home run by the only social welfare corporation on Ikuchijima Island.

Greetings from our Facility Director
Hello, my name Okano, Facility Director of the Special Care Nursing Home Crear Rakuseien.
Crear Rakuseien has been open since May 2015. “Crear” means “creation” in Spanish.
Nursing care is a very challenging job that embraces the feelings and creates a living for the elderly. Bathing or going to the bathroom are only one part of life.
What can we do to realize a lifestyle that is aligned with the feelings of the user and their family? How to live and how to reach the end of life? We work with each and every one of our users to create a lifestyle that reflects their own personality.
We will continue to do our utmost to ensure that our facility remains trusted by the local community, users, and families, and we look forward to your continued support.
